In Stockholm, (as in many other major cities at the time) there were horse trams between 1877 to 1905.
In this one there were room for 12 seated and 10 standing passengers. The cart weighed 1.8 tonnes.
The average speed was about 10 km/h (=fast walking).
From 1887 there were also steam trams, (until 1905 when the electricity took over).
The original to this model can still be seen at the Stockholm Tram Way Museum.
